Lessons from Being Lost in the Rain

So many things to be learned, driving around in a heavy, rain downpour, through flooded roads, lost in New Jersey.
Oh, yeah, there was also a desperate need to use a ladies room, my cell phone was dead, GPS was not working right, I had a low grade fever AND I was one and a half hours late for my foot doctor appointment (so they couldn't get me in after I finally found them).

Yeah, that was me earlier today.
Ahhhhhhhh.
Inhale.
Exhale.

I finally reached my last straw when the GPS landed me in front of a house on Laurel Road for the 2nd time with no doctor office in sight! I was way over an hour late for my appointment at this point. I even stopped in an empty small shop at some point and a nice gentleman googled the address for me and printed it out. It landed me in front of a house too!

So, sitting in this remote neighborhood, embarrassingly late for my appointment, bladder barking at me, no cell phone and ready to cry, I finally asked for help.

"Angels please help me get there now! Please!"
(did I mention the desperate need to go to the bathroom for the past hour?)

I then hear a voice say, "Put the word Laurel Road EAST in the GPS". I quickly typed it in and, no kidding, went a few streets down through a labyrinth of a housing development, and 'voila', a different Laurel Road (in the same town) emerged, like 2 minutes later. The road my doctor was on!
I must have been driving in big circles for a LONG time! But, I eventually made it.
I missed the appointment by a landslide, but at that point I would have given a co-pay just to use the bathroom.

So, now I'm trying to figure out the lesson(s) in my adventures on this fine Friday.
I really do feel that there is a reason for everything we experience.
Sometimes it's easy to find the lesson or reason in our adventures, other times, it takes some pondering.

The past 2 weeks have been chock full of lessons about taking care of myself. So, I thought I was walking my path correctly, when I called the doc right away to check out my infected toe nail that I banged up on Sunday. So, imagine my chagrin when I didn't even get to see him today. I do get an "A" for effort though, if I may say so myself :)

When I look back to see the 'light' in the situation, I realize I met a lot of nice people who tried to help me, a stranger out.
Did I mention the nice nurse drew me a detailed map so I can find my rescheduled appointment next week? And of course, there's the gent in the computer store who googled for me and lent me his phone.

I also feel the nuances in words are being highlighted for me. Being careful to use the exact words we mean in this time of 2012 shifts is very important because we're in a time of alchemy, when thoughts become words so easily as we approach the 12/12 gateway of spiritual transformation.
I typed in "Laurel Road" and couldn't find my way with the gps. When I stopped to gather myself and I took the extra time to write "east Laurel Road" in the gps, the path lit up for me right away.

And there's the big cherry on the sundae; finally asking HEAVEN for HELP.
As soon as I remembered to ask, I received help from above, in the quiet of my car, in the desperation, God came through and I was able to hear the whisper of the angels in that moment.

A great reminder that we all need to ask for HELP in our lives more. So many of us know how to give, give, give of ourselves, yet, we don't know how to receive, to ask for help from others, from God too.

Many times, I hear people say they feel funny praying for something for themselves, that it feels selfish. Then I hear the angels remind me to mention that the angels have no limits on who, how, what, where, when! Humans put limits on what we think the angels can do, but the angels can be anywhere, anytime and no task is too big or too small to them.
Since we have God-given freewill, the caveat is, we have to INVITE the Angels to help us.
I invite you to take a moment for yourself before all the holiday commotion begins.
Take the time to take a deep breath in and to ask for help in whatever big or small ways you need it. This can be through silent prayers or by asking a friend/relative for something. When you can receive as well as give, you are more balanced emotionally and spiritually and therefore can be a BETTER giver too.

Once again, as so many times in our lives , I think the lesson for me today, was in the journey, not the destination.

Can you see the light and lessons in your day? Can you reach out and ask for help when you need it?

Love, light and keep shining bright!

Let's Talk Turkey (in a Deep Way!)

Okay, it’s not even November and I’m talking about turkeys!
(not in a culinary way though)
Here's the reason:
While working on my home computer, planning the December 2012 ‘Soul Gateway’ events
for the studio ,
my dog started ringing his outdoor bells signaling
he was ready to go outside. I reluctantly got up from my computer where
I was organizing my thoughts. I go to open the back door, when I realize there is a
turkey staring at me from 10 feet to my right. I step back from
the door and see another turkey, standing right at the entrance to my patio,
about 10 feet away.
It’s not like I see turkeys everyday!
It’s probably been 9 months since my last sighting.

Ok, so there’s a turkey standing at the gateway to
my patio while I’m thinking about December’s ‘gateway’ events!
And (dog) bells are ringing!! I had to chuckle at the synchronicity.
God definitely has a sense of humor. Got my attention!

When you see an animal that’s outside of your usual daily encounters,
it’s a good time to research animal totems and what the animal
represents for you at this time of your life.
Some would call these animal sightings a coincidence,
but I don’t believe in coincidence. I truly believe there are many signs along our
pathway , “path lights”, if you will, and if we see and acknowledge them,
they can help to guide us.
Animal spirits, power animals or animal totems are such pathway lights.
Some stay with us for our whole lifetime and
some just come to help us at different points in our life.

This is what my turkey friends can represent as an animal totem:

The wild turkey, sometimes known as an earth eagle,
is a reminder to appreciate the blessings of each moment,
of each day and to show our true selves, (our plumage),
as we stand in our own power. It may also
represent that it’s a time to make some personal sacrifices for
the good of others, but to make sure we have a balance
in knowing when it’s right to make sacrifices and when
not to. Turkeys are able to fly powerfully for short
distances and remind us to balance our responsibilities
so we have stamina to complete our
tasks as well as nurture ourselves.

The animal totem TURKEY can also represent:
Abundance and fertility
A connection to the third eye, insights
Appreciation of mother earth
Generosity
Preparation
New beginnings
Pride
Survivor
Renewal/Rebirth

Okay, my turkey friends got me right where I live! Literally and figuratively!
I’ve been working on balancing
my responsibilities better and learning to say ‘no’, as well as speaking up for myself more,
& standing in my own power.
Seeing the turkeys at this time was just a confirmation to me
that Source, Angels and Spirit Guides
know what I’m working on and that I’m not alone in this process.
Oh, and, hello! A reminder that there’s more inner work to be done,
if I choose to accept the assignment. :)

Taking it another step further, the number 2 in numerology also represents
loving service,
so from that aspect as well,
I know since there were 2 turkeys, that it’s another reminder that I am
surrounded by a loving, unseen network of support. We all are.

Do you have an animal totem right now that you are aware of? One you see in person
or that keeps coming up in magazines, billboards, statuary?
I invite you to open your eyes, see the signs and find out what they may symbolize for you.

Love, Light and Shine Bright!~ Kristy

The Angels Recommend Spinach!!

At the risk of sounding random, I have to talk about spinach today !

(Yes, the angels talk about food, too!)

One of the most frequent things that angels and spirit guides pass along to my clients is the need to eat leafy greens, specifically, spinach.

I've always wondered why spinach?  I mean I know it's a green and it's in some way good for the body, but I never really delved into why it's so highly recommended from the celestial realms!

So, today, the answer dropped into my email inbox from cyberspace!
I had to chuckle at that. I get these emails every day from the Doctor Oz show, and maybe once every 10 days, I will open one up.
The angels kept nudging me this morning, to open today's Oz email newlsletter about magnesium and fatigue, (which I blessedly don't have an issue with) and to keep paging through the 11 pages in the mini-article.
As I paged through the blurbs/pictures, I kept hearing 'spinach, spinach'. Forgive me if I sound ignorant, but I didn't even know there was magnesium in spinach!

On page 10, low and behold, there was spinach staring at me (in a virtual way!)

So, here's Dr. Oz's info about spinach:

"Spinach - Half a cup of boiled spinach contains 78 mg of magnesium. Cooked spinach is also rich in calcium. Raw spinach is still good for you, but cooked spinach makes it easier for your body to absorb the minerals it contains."
"Do you feel irritable, weak and exhausted all the time? You may be suffering from a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is a crucial, but frequently overlooked, part of a balanced diet. It’s crucial in more than 300 bodily functions – many of which give you energy. Get your daily dose of this fatigue-fighting mineral by eating five servings of these magnesium-rich foods a day." -www.doctoroz.com

Now it all makes sense!
Most of my clients tell me how drained and tired they are and the angels/spirit guides are giving them, (via me as the messenger) , a natural, healthy solution!

Please note, that Dr. Oz also recommends oatmeal, bananas, raisin bran, whole wheat bread, brown rice, kidney beans, black beans, etc. for obtaining magnesium as well. If you're fatigued, you may want to check out the food solutions offered at his website.

I also found the info below from www.cookingnook.com:

"Why Eat Spinach?

Spinach nutrition is amazing. The calcium content in spinach strengthens bones. It contains A and C vitamins , fiber, folic acid, magnesium and other nutrients to help control cancer, especially colon, lung and breast cancers.Spinach also helps protect against heart disease because of the folate content. The flavonoids in spinach help protect against age related memory loss. The lutein in it helps to prevent cataracts, as well as age related macular degeneration, the leading cause of preventable blindness in the elderly. Foods rich in lutein are also thought to help prevent cancer.

How to Get More Spinach in your Diet:
  • Add chopped fresh or frozen spinach to lasagna to up the nutrient content of this tasty comfort food.
  • Add chopped or frozen spinach to your favorite vegetable soup recipe.
  • Sauté spinach with a bit of garlic for a tasty super food combination. Try it on top of a baked potato.
  • Make quick and easy spinach dips to eat with crunchy raw vegetables and whole grain breads like pumpernickel, and enjoy the health benefits of spinach while you nibble on your favorite veggies.
  • Use fresh spinach instead of lettuce to add a twist to your favorite sandwiches.
  • Add chopped fresh or frozen spinach to omelets and frittatas. Make sure frozen spinach is thawed and well drained."

So, "go green" for your body and get energized!

Autumnal Equinox 2012 - The Light of Autumn

Welcome to Fall, the Light of Autumn!

At this time of the Fall Equinox, it's a time for moving with the September wind that so gracefully touches the fading leaves in the trees, ushering them into a new phase, and the welcoming in of gratitude as we take stock of all of that our souls have harvested via lessons and blessings over the past year.

The Autumnal Equinox is the time when both night and day are the same length and marks the beginning of the Fall season. The Autumnal Equinox lands on September 22 in 2012, although typically the Autumnal Equinox falls on Sept 21. It is also known as the Fall equinox, Light of Autumn, Second Harvest Festival, Mabon, Festival of Dionysus, Wine harvest, Cornucopia, Winter Finding, and Harvest Home.
In the Christian tradition, the celebration of Michaelmas (on Sept. 29th, a time of the Feast of St. Michael, the Archangel and all the angels) and the Chinese celebration of the Moon Festival is around this time as well.

Through time, many cultures have celebrated the equinox as a time of gratitude for the harvest abundance, since it was also when they would start storing food supplies for the winter months, when crops were dormant.

Spiritually, the Autumn Equinox represents equality, and an ending and a new beginning, as trees shed their leaves, and the nights grow longer, inviting more time for sleeping, dreaming and planning ahead. The equinox also symbolizes the light and the dark that exists in humanity too, as we all must face our own shadow in order to find our own light.

The cooler weather that is ushered in around this time invites a time of slowing down to rest, to appreciate the bounty born from hard work, a time for introspection, and a time for more dreams as the nights grow progressively longer now.

Many groups of people around the world join together on the equinox to drum, sing, dance, meditate or pray.
Although often misunderstood, the idea of gathering on the equinox is to promote getting in touch with the light and dark within the self, so that inner balance may be achieved and therefore balance/harmony may be broadcast outwards to others. It's also a time that reminds us to reflect upon the blessings in life and to show gratitude to God/Universal Source and to Mother Earth for giving us sustenance.

Whenever we find ourselves in a time of transition, such as the season change, it’s a good time to focus on what we want in our life, and to come up with affirmations that can help us manifest our goals in the coming months.
I now invite you to think about these affirmations:

I am grateful for the blessings and abundance in my life

I give and receive abundant blessings

My dreams are important

I bring truth and balance to my life easily

I know there is balance in both the light and the dark

I am happy and at Peace

I welcome change

I enjoy a wonderful life of love, health and abundance

Prayer:
As we call in God/ the Universal Source, Archangel Michael, Archaeia Faith and the Ascended Masters to surround us with universal love at this time of dark and light manifesting together, a time of balance and equality, in the universe and beyond,
We ask that we open our minds and hearts to simply listen quietly and walk in love, balance, gratitude and peace on Mother Earth and beyond, and
To help us light the way for others into a new way of living, a way of equality, compassion and tolerance into
A greater reality of One-ness , as we join our light together,
Becoming a white flame of healing, love and positive change for all,
Gently transmuting what no longer serves us and the world and filling one and all in
Gratititude
In Unity
In Perfection
In Peace
In Harmony
In Balance
In Love
And so it is.

Wishing you balance in all you do, and joy in your heart!

9/11/12- A day of Rememberance, a day of Hope

The idea of doing a good deed today, something I've heard advertised on the radio, is brilliant! We need to change the energy of the 9/11 date on the calendar to positive energy.
So many memories of tragedy, violence and sadness surrounds that day globally. The past can't be changed, but what if we honor those who passed and the heroes of that time, by dedicating kindness and compassion on the anniversary date every year to help move the energy in a positive direction going forward, for the future.
Here's some of what I experienced as a medium, in the space around that unforgettable day, 9/11/01, from my safe, New Jersey home.
There was a brilliant blue sky, the weather a dreamy mix of summer and fall.
I'd had a migraine for 10 days leading up to 9/11 and had trouble sleeping for a few days leading up to it. (Eventually, I came to learn that many of my prolonged migraines back then were my brain processing the negative energy that was being put out for violence.)
So, I got up early for my daughter's first day of pre-school. I had an uneasy sense of foreboding. I got in and out of the shower, and went to use my blowdryer and it refused to work (spirits frequently communicate through the use of electricity). In that moment, I knew something was really wrong and turned on the tv (which I typically don't watch) to see the horrific news that a plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers, and then we all know how it unfolded from there.

What surprised me in the hours and the days that followed were the communications I received from the other side. One in particular took me years to fathom and even to talk about!

While fully awake, I had a vision of one of the planes that crashed into a tower. In it were the passengers as well as the hi-jackers, in the moments right before they crashed. What confused me was the image of all of them going into the light as the plane crashed, even the hi-jackers. The hi-jackers went to the light too!!!!! I found this so disturbing. When I finally mentioned it to a psychic/medium mentor a year later, he explained that in God's eyes, we are all his children, he forgives all. The hi-jackers thought they were doing something for God, for good, somehow in their thinking. They didn't think of it as bad. Human perception is that bad men did a bad thing.
I'm still wrapping my thoughts around that one, to be honest, but what sticks with me the most is that all the people on the plane turned into light before they really suffered.
They transformed so quickly into golden, white light beams of a sort and the feeling conveyed was of joy.
They had joy in the light.
That's what I choose to remember.

A little numerology on today:

 Tuesday, September 11, 2012 = 9+11+5= (25)=7
9 is the number of global consciousness, of peace, of love, of giving. 9 energy connects all mankind and is the most tolerant, least judgmental energy.
11 is a master number, and as such, it represents the balance of female and male energy and symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into spiritual realms, the difference between dark and light, the yin and the yang, and in that energy , sheds light on truth.
5 represents freedom, adventure, energy, courage and experience.
The sum of all the numbers makes this a 7 day-a lucky number! :)  It also is the energy of intelligence, intuitiveness and insight of wisdom of the ages.
Overall, I find the numerology of the day fascinating. If we look to changing the energy from the original 9/11, we can learn from what experience has taught humanity on that day.
The numbers suggest that today, we as a people, be aware of the big global picture: that we are connected as one humanity, linked around the world, as the events of that day joined so many nations and communities together, regardless of language/culture, to help one another through the atrocities. That we live in and support freedom , new adventures and courage in intelligent, thoughtful ways towards others and Mother Earth.
Let's keep the positive energy flowing on 9/11. Pay it forward with a good deed or act.
Thanks to all the unsung, unseen heroes from that time. God bless all who passed through the veil because of 9/11 and those left behind to mourn them.
